Training and Development Specialist

Job Summary

To enhance the development of Student Service Advisors, the full-time Training and Development Specialist will coordinate training sessions, provide individualized coaching, and support the implementation of technological advancements in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate training for newly-hired and existing Student Service Advisors on advising strategies and university policies
• Lead the Advising with Purpose initiative, creating evaluation rubrics for advisor/student interactions
• Develop and maintain training materials and assess the effectiveness of training methodologies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Master's degree preferred
• Two or more years of experience as an academic advisor strongly preferred
• High technology proficiency, including familiarity with Salesforce and Microsoft products
• Experience in adult education and the academic environment
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish/English preferred
