Training Specialist

Job Summary

To enhance IT procurement processes, the full-time salaried Training Specialist will design and deliver training programs for Department of War personnel, focusing on procurement tools and compliance, while primarily working remotely with occasional in-person events.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver training programs related to procurement tools and best practices
• Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and tailor materials for diverse audiences
• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, revising content based on feedback and metrics

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Education, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in IT procurement or acquisition support
• Strong understanding of procurement regulations and acquisition lifecycle processes
• Experience developing or delivering internal training materials or standard operating procedures
• Certifications such as Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM) or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) are desirable
