Job Summary
Leading project tasks for internal and external clients, the full-time Transit Safety Security Specialist will focus on risk management processes and provide guidance to colleagues while developing safety and security documentation and conducting client training in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Developing Public Hazard Assessments (PHAs) and Threat Vulnerability Assessments (TVAs) with associated mitigations
- Conducting workshops with multi-disciplinary groups and preparing Safety and Security Certification (SSC) documents and reports
- Interacting directly with agency clients and project managers to ensure compliance with safety standards
Required qualifications
- BA/BS degree with 6 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
- Possession or ability to attain U.S. Security Clearance
- Experience with Public Transportation Safety Certification Training Programs (PTSCTP, TSSP) and State Safety Oversight (SSO)
- Proficiency in FTA Safety & Security Certification Process and APTA Safety & Security Certification Standards
