Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior Transmission Planning Engineer to design and evaluate future transmission needs and renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate to create analysis tools and models for renewable energy and transmission projects
- Perform powerflow, production cost, and economic analyses using various software tools
- Coordinate with other teams to develop identified transmission projects
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in power systems and transmission planning
- Experience with powerflow and production-cost software (e.g., PSS/E, PowerWorld)
- Programming skills in Python
- Understanding of utility planning processes and NERC Reliability Standards
