Job Summary
A company is looking for a Transmission Engineer to help integrate capacity modeling capabilities into their software platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for modeling assumptions and collaborate with external partners to ensure data quality
- Conduct economic modeling projects related to transmission congestion and renewable energy development
- Manage client engagements, present study results, and provide actionable solutions based on analysis
Required Qualifications
- Experience in transmission planning, renewable grid integration studies, or power system economics
- Previous consulting or utility/ISO experience, preferably in CAISO, PJM, SPP, MISO, or ERCOT
- Working knowledge of power system studies and modeling solutions like PSS/E and TARA
- Deep understanding of the interconnection queue process and grid operator evaluations
- A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) or a Ph.D
