Transmission Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Transmission Engineer I to support critical streaming broadcast systems and manage audio/video transmissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Route and monitor multiple A/V feeds in a live production environment
• Quickly identify and resolve issues during live events and linear acquisitions
• Maintain knowledge of new technology and workflows to support various assignments

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of digital distribution equipment for broadcast transmission
• Basic knowledge of IP based transport (HLS, RTMP, SRT, unicast, multicast, etc.)
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
• Prior broadcasting experience or military experience in related fields is preferred
