Transmission Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting critical streaming broadcast systems, the full-time remote Transmission Engineer I will monitor and analyze audio/video transmissions across multiple data centers, ensuring the successful management and delivery of live linear and event broadcast streams.
Key responsibilities
- Route and monitor multiple audio and video feeds across various transmission paths while ensuring signal quality standards are met
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a fast-paced live production environment, maintaining reliable signal delivery
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support the acquisition, monitoring, and distribution of live feeds
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of digital distribution equipment and IP-based transport protocols, including HLS, RTMP, SRT, unicast, and multicast
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable with computer-based tools
- Prior broadcasting experience or military experience in related fields is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate in a 24/7 technical operations environment
