Transmission Engineer I

Job Summary

Supporting critical streaming broadcast systems, the full-time remote Transmission Engineer I will monitor and manage audio/video transmissions across multiple data centers, ensuring the successful delivery of live linear and event broadcast streams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and perform quality control on live event and linear acquisition signals across various transport formats
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to ensure reliable signal delivery and service continuity
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support the acquisition, monitoring, and distribution of live feeds

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic understanding of IP-based transport protocols and delivery methods, including HLS, RTMP, SRT, unicast, and multicast
• Demonstrated understanding of digital distribution equipment and technologies used in broadcast transmission environments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and common computer-based tools
• Prior broadcasting experience or military experience in related fields is preferred
