Transmission & Interconnection Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Transmission & Interconnection Engineer - Battery Storage.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct steady state power transmission system analysis and manage generator interconnection processes
• Develop and validate power system models for battery energy storage systems and ensure compliance with grid requirements
• Participate in interconnection negotiations and provide technical solutions for transmission and distribution grid requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum BA/BS in electrical engineering; master's degree preferred with a focus on Power and Energy Systems
• Two to five years of professional experience in the power and energy industry, preferably in renewable energy
• Strong background in power systems and proficiency in power system modeling software (PSCAD, PSLF, PSSE)
• Expertise in organized markets outside of ERCOT (e.g., CAISO, SPP, MISO, PJM)
• Demonstrated experience with inverter-based plant modeling and power flow analyses
