Job Summary

Bringing generator interconnection expertise to the team, the full-time remote Transmission Interconnection Engineer will manage planning for capacity studies, advise on study assumptions, and collaborate with engineering teams while contributing to software development.

Key responsibilities
  • Support non-curtailment and generator interconnection capacity studies, including case selection and report production
  • Advise on defensible study assumptions in various interconnection studies and engage with RTO/ISO and utility planning counterparts
  • Review study reports for plausibility and presentation quality while prioritizing relevant standards for the product roadmap
Required qualifications
  • 3-6 years of experience in transmission planning or interconnection studies at a utility, RTO/ISO, or consulting firm
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Direct exposure to system impact, facilities, or affected-system studies
  • Familiarity with AC and DC power flow concepts and the ability to interpret PSS/E or similar study outputs
  • Experience with FERC Order 2023 cluster study reform or similar queue-reform processes is desired
