Transmission Line Design Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Design Transmission Line Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for designing high voltage transmission lines using PLS-CADD software, collaborating with project teams, and developing construction documents, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate collaboration between disciplines and project team members while acting as a client contact to determine project scope
• Develop construction documents, including project design criteria, plan and profile drawings, and specifications for transmission lines
• Coordinate design aspects of projects, estimate construction costs, and specify materials

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school
• Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience, with at least 1 year in Transmission Line Engineering or related field
• EIT certification required; ability to obtain PE licensure within 2 years preferred
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE preferred
• Previous experience working with or for a Utility is highly preferred
