Transmission Line Designer

Job Summary

To support the evolving energy production landscape, the full-time Transmission Line Designer IV will perform transmission line design using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE, develop project drawings and documents, and ensure compliance with project specifications, working remotely or from various U.S. or Canadian office locations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform transmission line design and develop project drawings and documents
• Interpret and apply standards to execute projects with oversight from senior engineers
• Contribute to the improvement of internal design procedures and mentor junior designers

Required qualifications

• Associates or technical school degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in transmission line engineering design
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE
• Knowledge of design codes and standards such as NESC and ASCE 7
• Authorization for full-time work in the United States
