Job Summary
To support the design of the nation's energy infrastructure, the full-time Transmission Line Engineer will lead projects involving high-voltage systems, utilizing PLS-CADD for engineering analysis and ensuring compliance with industry standards, with hybrid and remote work options available.
Key responsibilities
- Engineer overhead and underground transmission systems, ensuring design excellence and compliance with relevant standards
- Manage projects from conceptual design through to construction-ready packages, including material procurement
- Apply advanced modeling techniques to address site-specific challenges and mentor junior engineers in senior or lead roles
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with relevant experience in electric utility transmission system design
- Expert-level knowledge of PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE software
- Familiarity with NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE codes
- 2+ years of experience for mid-level, 4+ years for senior-level, and 8+ years with a PE license for lead-level positions
- Experience with advanced modeling tools such as LPILE and FAD is a plus
