Job Summary
To support the engineering and design of high-voltage electrical transmission line systems, the remote Transmission Line Engineer will develop cost-effective and reliable designs, perform engineering analysis, and collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Develop cost-effective, reliable, and constructible high-voltage transmission line designs
- Perform transmission routing, conductor selection, structure spotting, and material takeoffs
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, design documents, and ensure compliance with applicable standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on transmission line engineering and design experience
- Experience working in an EPC environment preferred
- Proficiency with PLS-CADD or similar transmission design software
- Strong knowledge of NESC, IEEE, ASCE, ACI, and ANSI standards
