Transmission Planning Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Engineer to support their Resource Integration Advisory group by performing interconnection feasibility studies for various projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform interconnection feasibility studies for new generation, storage, demand, and transmission projects
• Optimize the size and location of new generation, storage, demand, and transmission projects
• Prepare interconnection applications and guide them through the full interconnection study process

Required Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on Electrical Power Systems
• 5 years of grid planning experience in North America
• 2 years of consulting experience
• MS Degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Electrical Power Systems is preferred
• Intimate knowledge of PSSE and/or PSLF power systems analysis tools
