Job Summary
To support a growing Electrical Studies, SCADA, and Protection team, the full-time salaried Transmission Planning Engineer will perform transmission planning studies, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with engineers and clients, with opportunities for remote work available.
Key responsibilities
- Perform or lead transmission planning studies, including power flow and contingency analysis
- Execute project tasks in accordance with established scope, schedule, and budget requirements
- Collaborate with and mentor junior engineers to support the development of transmission planning teams
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Engineer in Training Certification
- 7 to 10 years of experience in steady state contingency analysis and stability analysis of large power systems
- Hands-on experience with power system software packages such as PSS/E, PSLF, and PowerWorld
- Ability to work successfully in a dynamic team environment focused on customer needs
