Transplant Financial Coordinator

Job Summary

Providing financial clearance for patients seeking transplant services, the full-time Transplant Financial Coordinator will analyze benefits, initiate authorizations, and counsel patients on financial considerations while working onsite in Palo Alto, CA.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze benefit requirements and initiate requests for authorization for transplant evaluations and related services
• Meet with patients to inform them of anticipated costs and assist with financial planning for transplant services
• Provide ongoing financial counseling and maintain accurate records for billing of transplant-related services

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Three years of progressively responsible experience, preferably in Transplant Authorization for Solid organ, Stem Cell, and Gene Therapy Services
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient accounts processing
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in a healthcare setting
