Transportation Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Transportation Manager to oversee carrier networks and distribution centers in a designated territory.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage outbound shipments and carrier relationships, including the RFP process
• Analyze routes to optimize costs and improve delivery quality, ensuring compliance with metrics
• Compile transportation reports and manage the invoicing process while addressing delivery issues

Required Qualifications

• Four-year bachelor's degree in transportation, business administration, logistics, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of six years of progressively responsible experience in transportation management
• Experience managing people, with a preference for at least five years in a management role
• Proficiency in transportation management systems and data analysis tools
• Strong understanding of contracts and negotiation processes
