Transportation Safety Compliance Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Transportation Safety Compliance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update dangerous goods program documentation and transportation operations procedures
• Classify products according to dangerous goods identification numbers and support new customer onboarding of DG products
• Conduct regular audits of existing DG classifications and collaborate with suppliers and third-party logistics providers on DG matters

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field
• 3-5+ years of relevant work experience in global hazardous materials and dangerous goods compliance
• Current training and certifications in IATA/49 CFR, DGR, IMDG, and DOT
• Expert knowledge of HM & DG transportation requirements, especially lithium-ion battery and retail/eCommerce products
• Experience interpreting and providing guidance based on HM & DG regulatory requirements
