Transportation Safety Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Transportation Operations and Safety Engineer to lead transportation research programs and projects across various government contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage transportation safety, operations, and data research projects for federal, state, and local clients
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and oversee project plans, schedules, and budgets
• Lead proposal development and contribute to writing compelling proposals for new transportation research projects

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
• 12+ years of relevant experience managing transportation projects, preferably in safety, operations, or data research
• Prior experience with State and local DOTs, FHWA, or USDOT ITS Joint Program Office
• Strong knowledge of transportation research methodologies and program management best practices
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
