Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Underwriter - Transportation.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite new commercial business, renewal policies, and endorsements to meet agency profitability and production objectives
• Evaluate individual risks and assist in analyzing agency performance to determine corrective actions
• Support the Regional Sales Manager in achieving written premium goals and provide territory performance reports

Required Qualifications and Education

• Five years of experience in commercial transportation underwriting
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field
• Completion of Associate in Underwriting program and CPCU coursework
• Ability to mentor and provide guidance to junior underwriters
• Experience in developing action plans and communicating effectively with agents
