Trauma Registrar

Job Summary

To support the trauma program, the full-time Trauma Registrar will collect, enter, and maintain data for the trauma registry, ensuring accurate coding and adherence to protocols while generating reports for research and compliance purposes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinates data collection and uploads patient data information to maintain compliance with departmental and state requirements
• Generates and develops spreadsheets, graphics, and reports for trauma registry data on a quarterly and annual basis
• Validates patient data monthly and coordinates findings with the National Trauma Registry for the American College of Surgeons

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Two years of experience in Trauma Registry or three years in a medical clerical setting with six months of ICD-9 coding experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
