Trauma Registrar

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Trauma Registrar will identify trauma patients for the registry, abstract data using TraumaBase, and ensure compliance with hospital policies while maintaining data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Identify trauma patients for inclusion in the Trauma Registry
• Abstract trauma patient data using TraumaBase and assign ICD-10 and AIS codes
• Generate reports for the Trauma Committee and ensure compliance with regulatory standards

Required qualifications

• 3-5+ years of Trauma Registry experience
• Direct experience with TraumaBase is required
• 2+ years of AIS coding within a Trauma Registry
• Experience with ICD-10 coding and ISS calculation
• Ability to work independently with minimal training
