Job Summary
Managing the computerized trauma registry, the full-time Trauma Registrar will collect and analyze trauma data for research and quality improvement, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting while working remotely during standard business hours.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and coordinate initial trauma data, data entry, and report development in accordance with American College of Surgeons standards
- Monitor and manage the trauma registry to ensure data completeness, accuracy, and quality assurance
- Interpret medical data to evaluate patient responses to treatment and identify complications, while maintaining communication with internal and external departments
Required qualifications
- Experience with trauma data collection and registry management
- Knowledge of injury severity scores and survival analysis techniques
- Familiarity with computerized data systems, specifically TraumaOne
- Ability to perform statistical analyses of registry data
- Strong understanding of quality improvement processes in healthcare
