Job Summary
To support the Trauma Surgery team, a full-time Trauma Registrar/Data Analyst will manage and maintain the Trauma Registry database, ensuring data accuracy and compliance while transforming clinical data into insights that drive quality improvement and research, all in a fully remote capacity.
Key responsibilities:
- Collect, abstract, analyze, and accurately code complex clinical data for trauma patients from various medical records
- Ensure compliance with trauma coding standards and regulatory requirements while partnering with multidisciplinary teams
- Produce reports supporting clinical research, operational decision-making, and quality improvement initiatives
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of trauma registry experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center
- Strong clinical knowledge and ability to interpret complex medical documentation
- Experience with trauma registry databases and reporting tools
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and database management systems
