Travel Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Managing billing claims for travel services, the full-time Travel Billing Specialist will prepare and process eligible claims, ensure accurate data entry, and maintain positive relationships with clients while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare and process billing claims for travel services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance
• Investigate denied claims and perform quality assurance testing on EMR programs to ensure accurate processing
• Consult with providers to resolve coding issues and maintain knowledge of coding changes and billing requirements

Required qualifications:

• An Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Four years of experience in accounting, billing, insurance, or medical claims processing
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding, as well as medical insurance processes
• Experience with electronic medical record systems and billing software
• Understanding of state, federal, and tribal health care programs
