Traverse Operations Lead

Job Summary

Leading the planning and execution of traverse operations, the full-time Traverse Operations Packet Lead will coordinate the movement of personnel and resources in support of the Antarctic Science and Engineering Support Contract while working remotely from the U.S.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for traverse-related operational planning and stakeholder coordination
• Coordinate the movement of personnel, equipment, and scientific materials between stations and remote field locations
• Oversee traverse fleet readiness, maintenance planning, and operational support requirements

Required qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Transportation, or a related field; equivalent experience may be substituted
• Typically 7+ years of experience in transportation operations, logistics, or expeditionary operations
• Experience planning and executing complex transportation or logistics operations involving multiple stakeholders
• Familiarity with operational planning, logistics, or resource management systems
