Tribal Funding Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Tribal Funding Specialist will oversee the tracking of potential tribal funding for students, manage document processing for tribal scholarships, and provide guidance on funding eligibility while collaborating with various departments to enhance student retention.

Key responsibilities

• Track tribal student deadlines and ensure necessary documents are submitted to tribal higher education offices
• Request and verify documents from the registrar's office to facilitate tribal funding applications
• Analyze funding impacts from schedule changes and provide guidance to relevant departments on tribal funding applications

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Three years of experience in higher education or tribal scholarship processing
• Previous experience with tribal enrollment and finance processes, including Title IV funding guidelines
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Word
• Understanding of scholarship funding operations within the tribal community
