Job Summary
Working remotely on a 12-month contract basis, the Trust & Safety Escalations Specialist will review high-risk user activity, assess potential threats, and manage sensitive escalations involving law enforcement and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) while adhering to nontraditional scheduling requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Review user interactions and assess violent exchanges for potential policy violations
- Handle escalations and referrals to law enforcement and NCMEC, ensuring timely and accurate documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify emerging threats and user-risk patterns
Required qualifications
- Professional experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, or related fields
- Direct experience with NCMEC CyberTipline reporting or comparable mandatory-reporting workflows
- Experience reviewing graphic violence and credible threats of harm
- Ability to assess risk based on credibility, intent, and specificity
- Willingness to work a nontraditional schedule and participate in on-call coverage
