Job Summary

To support a growing ultra high net worth practice, the full-time Trusts and Estates Attorney will design and implement advanced estate plans, advise on tax strategies, and oversee trust and estate administration in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced estate plans for clients with taxable estates exceeding $75M
• Advise on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax strategies and oversee trust and estate administration
• Coordinate with family offices and fiduciaries to deliver integrated counsel while managing sensitive family dynamics

Required qualifications

• J.D. from a top-tier law school; LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning strongly preferred
• Active membership in a U.S. state bar (FL, NY, CA, TX, IL, or DC preferred)
• Minimum eight years of experience in trusts and estates law, focusing on ultra high net worth clients
• Mastery of federal estate, gift, and GST tax laws with familiarity in state-level nuances
• Proven track record of handling planning and administration for clients with net worths exceeding $75M
