Job Summary
To design and develop intuitive user interfaces for advanced tactical edge systems, the full-time UI/UX Software Engineer will work remotely, focusing on translating complex data into actionable visualizations for operators in high-pressure environments.
Key responsibilities
- Visualize the Tactical Edge by designing user interfaces that display NAVWAR situational awareness and system status for expeditionary operators
- Build for Portability by architecting a modern, decoupled UI framework that can be easily ported across various military hardware hosts
- Ingest Live Data Firehoses by writing frontend software that efficiently consumes high-rate, asynchronous data streams
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, with 8-10 years of experience
- Experience in UI/UX software development, demonstrated by a strong portfolio of responsive, data-heavy applications
- Expertise in modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, TypeScript) or cross-platform embedded UI tools (e.g., modern Qt/C++)
- Demonstrated experience handling live, high-frequency data streams within a UI
- Familiarity with military UI/UX standards, including MIL-STD-2525 symbology, and the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance
