UK Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Security Engineer, Application Security.

Key Responsibilities

• Embed security into the AI platform through threat modeling, secure architecture design, and proactive security considerations
• Manage the application security program, including SAST/DAST scanning, security code reviews, and automation of vulnerability detection
• Collaborate with engineering teams to establish secure coding standards and design security features for customer environments

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in application security engineering with a focus on large-scale production systems
• Familiarity with developer workflows and the balance between risk reduction and engineering velocity
• Proficiency in at least two programming languages (Python, Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Knowledge of security tools and methodologies, including SAST/DAST solutions and DevSecOps practices
• A mindset focused on automation and scaling security processes to empower teams
