UK Licensed EAP Counsellor

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, a UK Licensed EAP Counsellor will provide telephonic and video counselling, crisis management, and client assessment while maintaining confidentiality and delivering empathetic support to individuals from diverse backgrounds during overnight shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide single session telephonic and video counselling, offering in-the-moment support and crisis management
• Assess clients for appropriateness of short-term counselling and manage high-risk calls effectively
• Maintain clear clinical documentation and deliver administrative support for service-related inquiries

Required qualifications

• Minimum of a Level 4 diploma in Counselling
• Full registration with or membership in a regulatory counselling body (BACP/BPS/UKCP/Other)
• Experience with short-term counselling modalities such as Solution-Focused, CBT, and Mindfulness
• Training in crisis intervention and experience with high-risk clients is beneficial
• Culturally sensitive and flexible in using telephonic interpreters as needed
