Job Summary
Supporting the APPG for Conflict Prevention, Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding, the part-time UK Policy Consultant will provide secretariat functions, develop a baseline advocacy strategy, and create a stakeholder map for FCDO, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Provide ongoing secretariat and stakeholder engagement support to the APPG
- Develop a documented baseline of Search's current UK advocacy strategy, including existing relationships and policy asks
- Produce a structured stakeholder mapping of FCDO, identifying key contacts and funding mechanisms
Required qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in UK parliamentary affairs, particularly with APPGs or select committees
- Strong knowledge of the UK government foreign policy and international development landscape
- Experience in advocacy strategy development within the NGO or policy sector
- Familiarity with the conflict prevention and/or peacebuilding sector is desirable
- Excellent written English and ability to produce clear, professional policy documents
