A company is looking for an Underpayment Analyst to ensure accurate compensation for hospital services.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify discrepancies between expected and actual reimbursements from insurance carriers
• Investigate reasons for payment variances and contact insurance companies to resolve underpayments
• Maintain thorough documentation and actively participate in process improvement discussions

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with healthcare billing, coding, and reimbursement methodologies
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory frameworks governing healthcare reimbursement
• Technical proficiency to work on multiple computer screens and software applications
• Experience with healthcare billing software and databases (e.g., EPIC, Cerner, Meditech)
