Underpayment Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underpayment Analyst to ensure accurate compensation for hospital services.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify discrepancies in reimbursement amounts and investigate reasons for underpayments
• Contact insurance companies to resolve payment issues and process adjustments
• Maintain documentation of underpayment trends and participate in process improvement discussions

Required Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with healthcare billing, coding, and reimbursement methodologies
• Familiarity with healthcare billing software and databases (EPIC, Cerner, Meditech)
• Understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks governing healthcare reimbursement
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity metrics
