Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underpayment Analyst to ensure accurate compensation for hospital services.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify discrepancies between expected and actual reimbursement amounts from insurance carriers
• Investigate payment variances and contact insurance companies to resolve underpayment issues
• Maintain documentation of underpayment issues and participate in process improvement discussions

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, and reimbursement methodologies
• Ability to navigate and interpret various payer policies, including Medicare and Medicaid
• Experience with healthcare billing software and databases
• Previous experience working in a remote environment
