Underwriter

Job Summary

Managing a homeowner book of business, the full-time remote Underwriter will review, analyze, and evaluate new and renewal business while building strong agency relationships and making timely underwriting decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate risk characteristics and analyze account performance to make sound underwriting decisions
• Maintain an understanding of state guidelines and use established practices to modify and write new homeowner's policies
• Build and maintain strong relationships with agency partners to support organizational growth and objectives

Required qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of personal property underwriting experience
• Strong understanding of industry practices, standards, and underwriting concepts
• Proven ability to meet key performance metrics and exceed customer experience standards
• Experience with compliance and regulatory requirements in underwriting
• Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
