Underwriter for Consumer Loans

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Consumer Loan Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering responsive and professional services to dealer, indirect, consumer, and home equity customers
• Analyzing consumer credit reports to evaluate risk and make appropriate credit decisions
• Ensuring compliance with loan criteria across multiple states or regions

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of successful experience in a consumer loan operations position
• Understanding of property profiles, property titles, and UCC filings preferred
• Working knowledge of federal and state consumer lending regulations preferred
• Success working in an independent and remote setting
• Able to manage a fluctuating and sometimes busy pipeline of files
