Underwriter II

Job Summary

To support the underwriting team, the full-time salaried Underwriter II will evaluate loan applications, assess risk, and ensure compliance with company policies while working onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluating loan applications and financial documents to determine creditworthiness
• Assessing risk factors and making recommendations for loan approvals or denials
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements throughout the underwriting process

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in underwriting, preferably in the hard money lending sector
• Strong understanding of financial analysis and risk assessment methodologies
• Proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in the lending industry
