Underwriter II - Workers Compensation

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and collaborative, the full-time remote Underwriter II - Workers Compensation will manage an assigned book of business, evaluate and price new and renewal business, and analyze risk exposures while fostering strong relationships with producers and policyholders.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage an assigned book of business, applying underwriting philosophy and guidelines
• Evaluate, select, and price new and renewal business within granted underwriting authority
• Collaborate with producers and policyholders to build consultative relationships and communicate underwriting decisions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance and Risk Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of workers compensation or property and casualty insurance experience required
• Valid driver's license required
• Insurance designations such as RWCS, AINS, AU, or CPCU are highly encouraged
