Underwriter Support Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a HelpDesk Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on underwriting scenarios, products, and programs to Sales and Operations
• Field inquiries regarding industry trends, loan scenarios, and guidelines to facilitate originations
• Participate in improving customer service for both internal and external customers

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of current underwriting guidelines and federal/state lending laws
• Ability to explain underwriting changes to others effectively
• Experience in underwriting or related fields preferred
• High level of customer service skills
• Ability to manage overflow underwriting files as needed
