Underwriting Assistant - Inland Marine

Job Summary

Supporting the Inland Marine team remotely, the full-time Underwriting Assistant will manage the processing of policies and endorsements, assist underwriters with quoting and binding coverage, and maintain accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with state requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Process new business submissions, renewals, and endorsements for inland marine accounts using AAIS forms
• Assist underwriters in gathering necessary information to expedite submissions and maintain policy files
• Track renewal timelines and coordinate with agents and brokers for policy status updates and documentation requests

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an Underwriting Assistant with Inland Marine coverages
• Hands-on experience with AAIS forms and a solid understanding of policy issuance and endorsement processing
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a remote environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
