Underwriting Assistant - Specialty Auto

Job Summary

Supporting the operational and service objectives of the S&S Transportation Specialty Auto team, the full-time remote Underwriting Assistant - Specialty Auto will assist with the review, preparation, processing, and maintenance of underwriting and policy information for new and renewal business.

Key responsibilities

• Validate data entry in underwriting systems and verify documentation for coverage and limits
• Draft and verify policy documents, approve policy drafts, and process endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve policy questions and participate in system testing and process improvement initiatives

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 3 years of insurance or underwriting support experience is required
• Working knowledge of Policy Decisions with an emphasis on Auto Insurance rate and rule application
• General understanding of insurance forms, endorsements, classifications, and exposure information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
