Underwriting Associate

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Associate to assist with underwriting insurance risks and provide support to underwriting staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze underwriting information and respond to quotes, renewals, and policy endorsements
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and document pricing decisions
• Collaborate with internal partners and assist underwriters with agency engagement and policy needs

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Completion of or working towards CIC or AU certifications/designations
• 3 years of commercial property and casualty insurance experience preferred
• Knowledge of coverage forms and endorsements used in policy construction
• Ability to utilize internal tools and stay current on underwriting strategies and regulations
