Underwriting Associate

Job Summary

Supporting the development and execution of auto protection products, the full-time Underwriting Associate will apply underwriting guidelines, evaluate risk submissions, and draft pricing proposals while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Interprets underwriting guidelines and rate/rule logic, documenting rationale consistently
• Handles contract exceptions, determines cost outcomes, and communicates clear approval or decline decisions
• Partners cross-functionally with account representatives and implementation teams to operationalize underwriting decisions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Risk Management, or Mathematics
• At least 2 years of overall professional experience
• CPCU, ARM, AU, or ARe designations
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel; working knowledge of Python preferred
• Familiarity with Power BI is a plus
