Underwriting Consultant

Job Summary

Working remotely from anywhere within the U.S., the full-time Underwriting Consultant will analyze health benefit plan characteristics, assess risks, and provide pricing recommendations while managing an ASO book of business.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze health benefit plan characteristics and assess risks related to frequency and severity of losses
• Evaluate and recommend alternative pricing options and plan design changes based on economic analysis
• Collaborate with underwriting and account management to develop competitive financial responses and meet reporting requirements

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in healthcare underwriting or managing financials for various products
• 1+ years of experience with Risk Management
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proven excellent oral and written communication skills
