Underwriting Consultant

Job Summary

Analyzing Financial Protection Products, the remote Underwriting Consultant will evaluate plan characteristics, assess risk, and develop pricing methodologies while managing a block of business to ensure profitability and support sales growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare financial modeling for reserve and budget calculations aligned with client strategies
• Review and validate renewal and new business proposals for quality and accuracy across all group sizes
• Deliver competitive proposals that support growth and profitability while managing the renewal process

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in group insurance underwriting for products such as Group Life and Disability
• Experience with large case underwriting and pricing development
• Proficiency in coordinating training and mentoring for others
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office suite, particularly Word and Excel
• Demonstrated success in collaborating with internal and external partners for case strategies
