Underwriting Consultant Principal

Job Summary

As a full-time remote Underwriting Consultant Principal - Innovations, the successful candidate will manage the evaluation and implementation of new tools and programs to enhance the underwriting process, improve applicant experiences, and strengthen producer loyalty while collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Research, evaluate, and implement new underwriting tools and processes to enhance efficiency and applicant experience
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and present findings to stakeholders
• Lead pilots and analyze data to recommend modifications in current tool usage and improve underwriting practices

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of underwriting experience with expertise in various underwriting processes and philosophies
• Completion of LOMA 280/281 and 290/291; actively pursuing AALU and FLMI designations
• Proficiency in using web-based underwriting analysis tools and imaging systems
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to interpret complex information for diverse audiences
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship
