Job Summary
Evaluating risk and exposures, the full-time Underwriting Counsel will review title searches, communicate underwriting requirements, and determine premiums and terms for real estate transactions in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Review and evaluate title searches and insurance risk factors, communicating underwriting requirements to relevant parties
- Assess risk and exposures to determine the acceptability of business and establish premiums, terms, and conditions
- Lead projects within the discipline and provide guidance to less experienced team members
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
- Typically requires 2+ years of related work experience
- Working knowledge of business practices and key business drivers
- Ability to analyze complex problems and provide straightforward explanations
- Experience in making informed decisions regarding legal risks in real estate transactions
